
Nadine Hur
Nadine Hur played her debut with the Honolulu Symphony at age 11 and has concertized in France, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, and throughout the U.S. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Academy of Music in Philidelphia and the Library of Congress.
As a founding member of the Zephyros Quintet, she was awarded both the Grand and First Prizes at the 1995 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. She has been invited to perform at the Rencontres Musicales d'Evian in France and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival with the New York Wind Quintet.
Ms. Hur has performed with the Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra and Saint Louis Symphony. She has also been Principal Flutist and appeared as a soloist with the Missouri Chamber Orchestra. She has worked under such conductors as Kurt Masur, Sir Andre Previn, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Yuri Temirkanov, Mstislav Rostropovich, Sir Georg Solti, Sir Simon Rattle and David Zinman. She has been featured on National Public Radio's Performance Today, WFLN Radio Philadelphia, the Korean Broadcasting System, and in the Chicago Sun Times and the Washington Post.
Ms. Hur was a long-time student of Julius Baker and Jeffrey Khaner at the Curtis Institute of Music. She earned a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School where she also pursued professional studies with Jeanne Baxtresser. Ms. Hur is Principal Flutist of the Knoxville Symphony under the directorship of Lucas Richman.
