Bryan Florence, viola, is in his third season as a member of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra where he is actively involved in the Symphony's education and community chamber music programs. Bryan received his Masters degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Jeffrey Irvine. He also has studied with Daniel Foster, principal violist of the National Symphony Orchestra, and Michael Tree, violist with the Guarneri Quartet. From 1999-2000 he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Paul Silverthorne, principal violist of the London Symphony Orchestra. Bryan was a recipient of an Orchestral Fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival and School from 2003-2005. He has also participated in the Kniesel Hall Chamber Music School, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the Killington Music Festival. Most recently, he was a member of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Sun Valley, Idaho. Bryan grew up in Colorado and is an avid skier.
