
Asako Kuboki
Asako Kuboki began her violin studies at the age of five in Japan. She continued her studies at the Peabody Conservatory where she received her Bachelor and Masters of Music. Prior to joining the SLSO in 2001, Ms. Kuboki performed extensively with the New Horizon Chamber Ensemble, a contemporary music group, and worked in collaboration with composers, poets and visual artists. She has also performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, and has participated in Aspen Music Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Colorado Music Festival, and as a concertmaster with the Divertimento Orchestra, part of the 2006 Credomatic International Music Festival in Costa Rica. Her principal teachers were Sylvia Rosenberg and Victor Danchenko.
