Community Light Project :
Drums and Light
October 3, 2008 6:00pm

Join us on October 3rd at 6pm for a celebration of the Community Light Project, called "Drums and Light".

This event is the culmination of projects with four schools in the Grand Center, including Cardinal Ritter, Cole Elementary School, Loyola Academy, and Metro High School.

Included will be a tour of light installations within The Light Project and at each school, as well as the Grand Public Art space. The Pulitzer, in collaboration with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, coordinated a percussion project with these same schools and the evening will feature performances with the students performing alongside percussionists affiliated with the SLSO. Their percussion instruments will light up when struck, based on a circuit design by the St. Louis Science Center and built by Engineers without Borders, a student group from Washington University St. Louis. Food and drink will be available throughout the event.
