Local collectors and curators come together to discuss the history and unique situation of collecting in St. Louis. An exhibition walkthrough will follow the discussion.
Moderators are Kristina Van Dyke, director of The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, and Elizabeth Childs, Etta and Mark Steinberg Professor of Art History at Washington University.
Responses provided by Brent Benjamin, director of the Saint Louis Art Museum. Panelists include Emily Rauh Pulitzer, Mark Weil, Matthew Robb, and Helen Kornblum.
This panel is being organized in conjunction with the Washington University course "Collecting Cultures: Taste, Passion and the Making of Art Histories," designed and co-taught by Elizabeth Childs and Kristina Van Dyke.
