stylus Finale--A Sounding
January 22, 2011 10am-9pm

We are pleased to celebrate the final sounding of stylus–a project by Ann Hamilton. For the closing of this exhibition, we invite you to join the artist and others in animating the installation one more time.

Voice Marathon Readings to Blue Black
with Ann Hamilton

10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Ann Hamilton, members of her studio and the Pulitzer staff invite visitors and past contributors to read to Ellsworth Kelly's Blue Black and to interact with the installation as one big group.

Ruckus Roboticus
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Ruckus Roboticus’s music has been featured on Nickelodeon, MTV, the Disney Channel, Numark and LOGO TV, and now at the Pulitzer. During this two-set performance, Ruckus electrifies children and grownups alike. From one to two o'clock, he spins family-friendly tunes, which are sure to get you and your kids clapping. For the second set, he weaves in experimental electronica.

Chorus of Waving Hands

5:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Ann Hamilton and Pulitzer staff members invite everyone present to put on paper hands from the installation and join in a silent wave. Just a short moment in the day, this participatory experience evokes a striking and unforgettable impression. We want you to be a part of it!
