Dealing with the relationship between base, sculpture and architectural setting, this exhibition highlights two significant artists: Constantin Brancusi (1876 - 1957) and Richard Serra (b. 1939). Despite differences in generation and background, Brancusi's and Serra's work reveal parallel approaches and responses, while at the same time each artist maintains his individuality. Serra and Brancusi experiment with materials and explore the nature of sculpture. The exhibition was on view February 4 - September 24, 2005.
